Turning Gas Into Electric

Interesting in converting an gasoline car into an electric vehicle? It can be done!

Truly any vehicle can be converted to quiet, quick electric power.  SEVA boasts many members who have done just that: everything from the humble Geo Metro to Triumph Spitfires, from old VW Bugs to heavy-duty Ford 150s.

Some vehicles may be lighter weight or more aerodynamic than others, but people have converted 4-wheel drive trucks, classic cars, tractors, lawn mowers, race cars, jet skis and boats. Perhaps you have even ridden on an electric bus before?

If you love a particular vehicle, or have had a classic car in the family for many years but are tired of the regular oil changes, poor fuel economy, scarcity of engine parts and stinky exhaust, why not give the car a quiet, clean, high-torque new electric power train?

Due to the incredible immediate torque characteristics of electric motors many power-hungry gear-heads are converting cars to electric simply to get a quicker vehicle!
