Preference Suggestions

These are some suggested preference settings.

User Profile - Email

• Use Confirm your e-mail address link
  • Checked - E-mail me on page changes
  • Checked - E-mail me when my user talk page is changed
  • Checked - E-mail me also for minor edits of pages
  • Checked - Enable e-mail from other users

Date and Time

• Fill in from browser

Editing Tab

• Check - Show preview on first edit
• UnCheck - Show preview before edit box
• Check - Add pages I create to my watchlist
• Check - Add pages I edit to my watchlist
• Check - Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary

Search

• Check - All of the namespaces

Your User Page

You will see your username at the top of each page when logged in, this is a handy place to describe yourself, your projects, pages you are working one, or notes to yourself. You also have a "my talk" page which users can use to communicate with eachother, if you've confirmed your e-mail address then you will get a notice when new messages are left for you.
