Till then a plain old collection of upcomming events with a Table of Contents will do.

2005, Sep 24 1st Annual ZEV-Recliner races!

We need some work on this part, it appears that a number of SEVA members are building some race recliners for an sub-EVent of another race event at PR.

  • Location : PR (Pacific Raceway) Auburn-ish, Wa
  • Rules : What rules, Lazy-boy and less then 48v or weight?
  • Course : "Less than 15 minutes", Steering, Braking!

Proposed Event Names

  • Electric chair races? (Umm, maybe not)
  • ZEV-Recliners ( Best I could come up with )

Here is Pres.Steve's FIRST ATTEMPT to Edit a Wiki Site: Have had talks with the powers-that-be and the rules for the E-chairs remains about the same. No more than 200 lbs of batteries, No larger than 8'long, by 4' wide. Clarification on the "CHAIR" it DOES have to be a LAZY-BOY type recliner. Other than that, helmet, seat belt (optional use) everything remains the same. The course will be a Go-Kart type. And there will be some kind of acceleration contest as well. BIG trophies for Win-Place-and Show... The dates are September 24th and 25th, out at Pacific Raceway (east of Kent ) old SIR Race Way. -- 00:31, 11 Aug 2005 (CDT)Steve Loug PREs

2005, Oct 22 Alt-Fuel Vehicle Rally

Thanks to everyone who participated in Seattle Parks and Recreation's April Alternatively Fueled Vehicle Rally!

October 22nd from 9:30 am-2 pm, Seattle Parks is again hosting an Alternatively Fueled Vehicle Rally, this time, at Greenlake. We'll be using the small lot near the boat house on the South Side of the lake. There is somewhat limited parking there, so registration for the even will be important. Please take a minute to send us the following information via an email to Discovery Park staffers Eileen Justice ( and so that they can register you for the event.

As in years past, you are welcome to bring your vehicle but cannot sell anything on-site or test drive the vehicle. You're welcome to bring literature with you and to start vehicles to demonstrate. Please email us if you have questions.

I know that this is a little early to advertise for October, but I'll be gone this summer working on a special assignment, so am trying to get a jump on it.

Thanks again for your participation!
