[edit] August 12th 2008 Meeting
Lots of new visitors this month. Steven discussed some upcoming events, which escape me at the moment. Don Crabtree (Father Time) talked quickly about changes at NEDRA. Dave Cloud talked about electrothons and his plans to visit the salt flats to try for some speed records. Steve took some questions: Where to get parts for conversions, AC vs DC systems, Conversion weight, electric range and range extending methods, new about the latest in production EV's and PHEV's, 6volt vs 12v batteries and the >30% battery to vehicle weight rule of thumb, clutch vs no clutch, how to change vehicle registration, how do you build adapter plates. Finally there was a call to new visitors to join the EAA and we broke out into groups. --Rjf 22:29, 12 August 2008 (CDT)
