Want to create a new EVent! First click "Current Events" at the top of any events page. Once there, just click on any of the dates in the "wiki calendar" below to begin creating a new page! Start the page with (Just copy it now and paste it when you create your page):
EVents
Short Name for EVent
Your event details and description text goes here.

Next simply add whatever details and links you like to the page. Use the Show preview to see what you have created and finally click Save page and you are done. You and anyone else can edit the page later to add more details. The new EVent page you help create can grow more detailed, after the event photos can be added or accounts of how the event went. All of this will be archived for future generations to see what kind of amazing fun we have had, heck go check out some past EVent pages now (Tip: Click on any pages edit link to see how easy they are to create).

If there are more than one event on a given day, then make the == Header == at the top of the page include a short description of both events so that they will both appear in the summary for that day. Then create two or more === Sub Headers === (Notice the 3 = signs instead of 2) for each separate event on that day.

EVents
First EVent & Another EVent Also
First EVent
First Event details and description text goes here.
Another EVent Also
Details for the another event also go right here.

You can also add ==== Sub Sub Headers ==== for an event if there is a lot of information for that event, perhaps someone might want to add a ==== Photos ==== section. The simplest way to add photos is to upload them to the site (you may need to ask for an account to do this). Take a look at the Photos page for a list of EVents that had photos added.

Then just list them in a gallery block.

Additional tags can be added to the top of the page, we do not use many categories at the moment, but they help to organize pages and help visitors find related pages. For example there might be a Tesla Category and any event with a Tesla at it could have the Tesla category.

A Carbon Neutral Ballard, King County

Per SEVA_Maillist:2006./8./43

Hello Seattle Electric Vehicle- ites..

Hope this email finds everyone well. I hope you can make it to this event which will launch a campaign to make King County Carbon Neutral - one community at a time - starting with Ballard.

From the perspective of Seattle Electric Vehicle there are three very important aspects to this campaign. 1. Contributions to offset will most certainly help the Electric car industry by providing seed money to help pull on-the-cusp technology off the shelf faster and create money to spur innovation that will reduce the amount of CO2 entering our atmosphere now..

2. Increase in Awareness of the problem at it's solutions - NetGreen, SEVA, SCL energy conservation/GreenUP program, Flexcar, etc... 3. provide access to a grass roots movement that everyone can get on board with - personal responsibility and balance are at the back bone of being carbon neutral.

Hope that some of you can make it. This is a save the date email - see below Formal invites are being prettied up by graphics people and will be sent out on Friday.

Please let me know if you can make it asap. Pls Don't wait for the formal invite -

We expect quite a press presence and need to make sure we have about 100 people. The more the merrier so please forward this save the date email to your friends and interested acquaintances. I completely welcome and encourage you to bring kids, too.

Your support will further inspire me and I believe you will find this event inspiring too. Plus -- I guarantee it will be quick and to the point.

Learn what it means and how you can become carbon neutral and help Ballard do the same. We can do this. We just have to start.

See http://www.GetCarbonNeutralNOW.org for how to counteract your impact today.

Many communities in King County

are poised to join this "A Carbon Neutral King County….. Community by Community Campaign". Ballard will be the first of many communities to take this initiative.

What can you do now to learn more and/or get carbon neutral?

Go to http://www.AchieveNetGreen.org to calculate your impact and then make a tax deductible contribution to offset. This act combined with the acts on many will empower us to quickly and cost effectively implement high quality carbon offset projects TODAY. In this way, we can use our limited resources of time and money to achieve a great reduction in the Buildup of GHG. The average person in the Puget Sound region can get carbon neutral for $120. This would counteract the 12 average tons of CO2 that one produces living their lives. This would be counteracted through effective, verifiable carbon offset projects (see http://achievenetgreen.org/co2-offsets.php to learn more about the what's, why's and how's of carbon offsets.).
