Hear the advantages and disadvantages of all forms of electric vehicles including street vehicles, both freeway capable and NEV's (Neighborhood Electric Vehicles) electric racing, electric boats, electric assisted bicycles, and scooters. Bio-Diesel, Ethanol,CNG, wind power, and solar power, and especially the vibrant movement toward Plug-In Hybrid cars will be discussed. Your instructor, Steven Lough, has been a leader in the Electric Vehicle field for over 29 years. His family GM Dealership took on a line of commercially built electric vehicles back in 1980. A handout listing resources for seeing, obtaining, converting, and repairing electric vehicles will be given to each student.
