<p>Why I&#039;m a member</p> <p><b>New page</b></p><div>New '06 Prius owner. Enabled light-flasher EV mode. By managing EV mode and some pulse/glide driving I'm averaging 45-49 mpg in town. Car has 2k miles and I'm in the pacific northwest, so hopefully as the weather improves and the car &quot;breaks in&quot; things will improve.<br /> <br /> Really psyched about PHEV. The work done by Calcars is what pushed me to buy the Prius. I'm an engineer by training/profession and will not be doing a PHEV mod until I understand all the risks and see good detailed documentation. Nevertheless, I'm watching with baited breath...</div>
