		+	December 11th SEVA Meeting:

		+	Afternoon SEVA Folks.
		+
		+	Well, it wasn’t exactly a Christmas Party like last year, but we did have a Tree, and a Menorah, and Gifts, and about 50 folks showed up on a cold and rainy December night.
		+
		+	We had THREE very interesting presentations.
		+
		+	First Mark Schiller put forward the idea of coordinating various groups involved with Clean Sustainable transportation, the environment and electric vehicles. A dozen or so folks signed up his sign-in sheet to help coordinate the idea. This is part of the $1000. donation which Mark’s friends at Edwards Mother Earth Foundation gave to the EAA in our name.

		+	Secondly, our own Jeff Finn gave a great report on progress of stitching the state together with Charging Stations East and West, and North and South.
		+	Out to the ocean, and up into the Oakanagan. It will take years to complete, but progress is being made.
		+
		+	To PROVE the point, our own Lee Colleton was next with a presentation of his Three Pass Blast. Yes in the Dead of Winter, with snow on the ground he drove his little gray “Mi-EV” from Seattle, up over Stevens pass, then on to Blewett Pass, and then UP over Snoqualimie pass and back to Seattle.
		+	It was NOT without a few challenges, and seeing the “turtle” light come on.

		+	Next our SEVA member Tyler Folsom has just returned from a big automotive world conference in China, and he gave a report on all the activity with Electric Vehicles, and the goals for deployment that the Chinese are working on. It’s been said more than once, that in a dictatorship, once a decision is made to do one thing or another, you don’t get all the messy decision making that you have in a democracy... But there are costs !!

		+	Next we had a guest from the Wenatchee area, Matthew Hepner from
		+	Schmitt Electric in Wenatchee, asking us as a group, about infrastructure, charging favorites, opinions about charging placement, etc. Kind of went well with Jeff Finn’s presentation. He also represented the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, so we forwarded his name and info over to our own Tom True, who could not make the meeting.

		+	Then there was a presentation by Dave Braden, and his friend Dick Wagner, who runs the Center for Wooden Boats. They would like to have a coordinated EV celebration this next year to include “Boats, Bikes, and Cars” They would like to have it coincide with Plug-In-America’s Plug In Day, but the dates do not work out. He has proposed four possible dates. July 20th or 28th, or August 4th or 11th. At this early date, any of them would work for SEVA.
		+	We will let them know soon.

		+	A few other notes: Our member Tracy Farwell, will be permanently leaving the SEVA Roster, and joining OEVA, for he and his family have permanently moved to Portland Oregon.

		+	Congratulations to Billy Kreuter and his new Silver Blue Chev VOLT.

		+	We had another short presentation from a Mr George D. Heavy Eastern European accent, and a bit hard to understand. He is still on the path of some kind of electric motor which makes more power than it takes to start it. Hope our folks were not too rude giving him challenge to his theories.

		+	We had a good drawing, bringing in $30 to the club and $30 for Mr Crow.
		+
		+	Also we had the Twelve Days of Christmas gifts which were assembled by Steve Lough, and wrapped in the holiday spirit by Donna Lough. There were sweets, and some electronic gadget. I think the gadget were the preferred gift. But all was in the spirit of the season.
