		+	I wasn't able to make this meeting ("no rest for the wicked!") so I

		+	After the introduction and upcoming events by Steve Lough.
		+	Phil, a parent to a student at Garfield High School spoke to the group
		+	about a raffle for a Nissan Leaf contributed by Stadium Nissan. The
		+	raffle is to support the "Career and Counseling Service" which is
		+	underfunded because of budget short falls. The raffle tickets are $100
		+	each and only 750 tickets will be sold. Last count was in the 600's. I

		+	Steve Lough got Ryan Johnson to speak only after he convinced Steve that
		+	he was not a UW student. Ryan is 27 years old and did a rather clever
		+	thing in salvaging the motor/rear axle assembly form a Toyota Highlander
		+	Hybrid. The rear motor assembly cost him about $500 after shipping.
		+	This 30kw motor normally runs off of approximately 600vdc, but because
		+	he wanted to run it in the reasonable world he is using a $6,000 TRITIUM
		+	controller from Austrailia. This AC controller is 165kW with 300 Arms
		+	and 400vdc

		+	Chuck Lare spoke next. He met with Metro about a month ago and going to
		+	be apart of the upcoming Federal Transportation Committee. He is going
		+	to advocate for local final assembly. Chuck is also pushing for local
		+	battery pack development in Washington State. He is further advocating
		+	converting the 40 foot 10 year old electric trolleys, buy keeping the
		+	body and putting in a new propulsion system. No more having the
		+	passengers getting out of the bus so you can make it up James Street,
		+	Right Chuck?

		+	Steve Lough spoke briefly about the purchase of his IMEV Mitsubishi...a
		+	pretty peppy ride! He now wears the familiar "EV Grin"

		+	Tom True, a IBEW member with his connection with the union said SEVA
		+	has been approved to have a free meeting place in Kent at the
		+	International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers hall.

		+	Jeff Finn our legislature liaison updated us on what is happening in
		+	Olympia. The $100 fee for yearly licensing of electric vehicles has
		+	been passed by the legislature and is awaiting approval by the
		+	Governor. He did note though Senator Haugen introduced this proposal 2
		+	and a half years ago, and because of SEVA's lobbying effort, alot of the
		+	draconian parts of the original bill were eliminated. Thank you Jeff
		+	Finn! The positive news from all this lawmaking is before next years
		+	legislative session a study will go on for the viability of a Vehicle
		+	Miles Traveled..VMT. If the VMT is enacted as I understood the $100
		+	annual fee for Electric vehicles would disappear.

		+	Dave Barden..President of VEVA, (Vashon Electric Vehicle Association),
		+	spoke next about the EV gathering on Vashon Island.
		+	His comment was..."You would have had to been there!" It was a bigger
		+	than expected gathering where they showed the movie "REVENGE OF THE
		+	ELECTRIC CAR" Dave encourages us all to come back over to Vashon in
		+	July for the EV event coinciding with the Strawberry Festival.

		+	Zack Fung...the UW student who in the past solicited fund from the SEVA
		+	membership for the building of the SAE Project, a 500 pound open
		+	wheeled race car, said they got the AC 35 motor on March 2nd . This
		+	motor is produces 120 lb/ft of torque and controlled by a 650 amp 130vdc
