He started building a fun, efficient car in his garage. Other people came by, and grew into a worldwide all-volunteer team. His car is all modular, capable of any drivetrain or other parts. It has been crash simulated and passed. He used the principles of quick and easy modifications (in software, called agile). Rob Beresford presented on the WIKISPEED's technical specs.
