Anybody using the PAKTRAKR with the current sensor?  The documentation says you can place anywhere on the cable, so I placed mine up in the engine bay.  I built a bus bar out of a copper lug.  But my AMP reading are screwy.

I order a bus bar fron the company and will install it off a battery lug and see if that helps.

Jeff Finn has a PakTrakr on his VoltRunner, but I don't recall if he has the current sensor or not.

What is your definition of "screwy"? Are your reading too low? Do they jump around? What exactly are they doing, and why do you think that is not correct.

Screwy as in jumping around when I'm driving.

IF you are changing load on the motor by either changing throttle position or road condition changes then motor speed and current will change.  Is this what you are terming screwy?  Find a flat road (Airport way by Boeing Field comes to mind) and watch it then at as near a constant speed as you can achieve (which in reality you will not be able to do).  there will always be some fluctuation especially with manual ie throttle control.
