As I understand it, it's no more than an alogorithm / circuit that economizes battery usage. I'm guessing that using this would basically make your EV slow by limiting amps drawn etc. Not sure how it is supposed to work exactly, but if one of the elecric specialists on this forum could speak to it, that'd be cool.

I also think that they are asking too much for their idea / lic. Don't see the asking price, but 15% of gross is huge. If this was as good as they say it is, they could take less percentage and make tons of money.
