I have a 91 Ford Festiva which I converted to a 72V DC electric car in late 06.  It is powered by 6 12V batteries and has a range of about 15 miles.  I need to sell it to make room in my garage for my next project.  Pictures are available.  If you are serious and need such a vehicle, let me know. bluejack@cablerocket.com.  Car is in the Anacortes, WA area.  Thanks.

Hi there -
I am not interested in this as it will not meet my needs, however, I would recommend listing some of the components you used - motor, controller, etc. A pic is huge of course. You are busy I'm sure, so if you've posted it for sale somewhere else with all the data, you can simply include a link to it here, so we can at least check it out a bit more.

Thanks, and good luck selling your Ford  Grin

I also have a Ford EV, but mines a Fiesta.  Mine has a suspect controller (Curtis PWM-25), any spare parts left over?

How much you asking and what's the designed top end of your Festiva?

Is there more room for more batteries to increase the range to25 to 30 miles?

Hi: Thanks for those who have answered my Ad.  The motor is an ADC 72V L91-4003, an AXE controller, a Zivan charger and a Sevcon 72-12V converter.  I placed 6 - 12V Crown 110AH (5 hr rating) batteries. Two in the engine compartment and four where the back seat used to be.  It was simple and worked out fine.  I had thought about 12 6v's but it was a bit more difficult (you lose the area for the spare tire) and so I compromised.  I don't need the range. Send me an email if you would like more pics. bluejack@cablerocket.com  I am asking $3,500 which is just about what I have in the vehicle for parts.

Quick question - does your car have braces or something sticking out in front of it? It looks like angle iron is produding from under the front fender in 2 places...just curious if you parked it on something or are those things attached and required...

The angle irons sticking out in front of the Festiva are the attachments for a towbar.  I had to tow it out to Mount Vernon to have the windshield replaced.  It is also convenient if I ever drive too far and need to tow again.
Here a couple of extra pics.

Thanks, Norm, for the reply.  I might want to dicker but really think that if you compare parts and batteries, my price is fair.  Here is another pic of the back seat area as one correspondent needed a back seat for kids. bluejack@cablerocket.com

Hi SEVA. I have been on vacation the last week and see no interest in my car at $3,500. Which by the way, I thought was a good deal.  If I drop the price to $2,500, is there anyone out there that needs a good car at that price?

Hi,
I have been on the road the last couple of weeks, so I didn't want to reply, in fact I'm still not back till the weekend. However, I am interested in the car. I would like an EV I can tinker with. I don't really want to mess with my Ranger EV because pretty much from what I've heard, anybody that tries to mod the EV Ranger, breaks it. So I would rather not do anything with it. So I am interested in the Festiva, and will take it intact. So if it is still available when I get back, I'll contact you.
