Hi all,

I am sure this has been tried many times but I think I have a new twist.

I can get LiFePO4 for less than $1.00 an Ah, I will offer 90 day replacement and a 2 year warranty.

 - 3.6v  100Ah

Tell me what you think. Good bad or otherwise. I need to know how many people are serious about purchasing now and if you want 100Ah or 200Ah cells.

The companies I spoke with all began their quotes at about $1.60 an Ah but with bulk orders I can get $1.00/Ah and probably lower. If lower I will pass on the savings. This is no BMS and no charger.

Shipping may be a pain at first but I calculate $5.00 per battery.

I am an American and have lived in Guangzhou China for over 3 years now. Many of the LiFePO4 battery factories are in a city very near me so I have easy access and can go there to check them out first and deal with them face to face.

I have not spoken with Thundersky even though their factory is also in Shenzhen. If you like I can see about a deal with them and at least offer you better service and I will honor guarantees. But from what I have heard and read here and on other forums makes it sound to me that they use poor quality materials to get a low price.

Samples are $1.30/ah, so 100Ah * $1.30 * 5 cells = $650.00
I have several people interested in getting samples. If we can get a “bulk” sample order I hope that we can at least keep the shipping price down.
This is from a company called High Power www.haiba.net.cn

Comments and even flame welcome. I am an EV enthusiast, not a salesperson. I hope we can figure this out. I plan to do this and stick with it so I need to know what everyone thinks and what adjustments I need to do to make this work.

If you are not living in the United States, your warranty will not mean anything. Also, if those interested send money to an overseas location, they are putting themselves at risk.

Please clarify.

Thanks.

Will you accept payment by master card, visa etc

IF NOT
Please describe the banking arrangements you have.

I watched (live) the transfer process Boeing used for delivery and payment of an airplane.
Quite complicated ie Boeing, plane buyer, Boeings bank, buyers bank.
The level of safeguards (ie lack of trust) was almost amazing.
Now if this is what happens with very well known business groups
that regularly do business  --- then,,,,,

Do you have any bonds etc to back your guarantee?
Does money get placed in escrow pending satisfactory delivery?
Who is your agent in Seattle?
How will payment be made upon satisfactory delivery?
What have you in place to ensure you get paid upon satisfactory delivery?
Customs problems?

Could be a good deal if handled correctly

Take a look at http://www.evcomponents.com/

They carry a couple lines of bulk LiFePO4 batteries, and they do have some in stock.
