Homemade Electric Vehicle converted from a Volkswagen Pickup Truck - so it is now a Vol t swagen.  Ten semi truck starting batteries provide 120 volts to power the 9 - inch advanced DC motor.  Conversion uses the standard transmission and heater controls in the cabin.  Includes a new Manzanita Micro Charger and a utility Kilo Watt Hour meter so that you know exactly how much energy has been used.  The truck can reach freeway speeds, but normally is driven on city streets at around 35 mph.  The maximum range has never been tested.  The range is limited to 10 miles to make sure that the batteries are not discharged too deeply.  This vehicle is  about 7 times less expensive to operate than gasoline.  There is no tail pipe emission, and no tail pipe.  There is no carbon emission except what the driver exhales.  If interested please call (206) 234-4080
