e-bike assembly req'd

Hello All,

    A friend of mine is considering the purchase of an electric
bicycle as quoth below.
Does anyone have any advice concerning the qualities of this bike vs.
any competing models, on care and feeding, local service shops, etc?
    Frankly the websites linked make me a little suspicious. For one
thing, they appear to claim a total weight for the bike of 65 pounds
with lead-acid battery pack with a 40 mile range (presumably this is
range as pedal-assist on flat pavement).
     Any input appreciated- thanks!

Just have to track down someplace to put the puppy together.  Gregg's
& Recycled Cycles both seem hit or miss on service.  I'm going to call

tomorrow.  They are well-reviewed on Yelp - know anything about them?

Was there not a guy in the Ballard Fremont transition who dealt exclusively in electric bikes?

I'd go talk with him he does it for a living so probably knows a thing or two.

I bought an electric bike from these guys http://www.e-bikekit.com/ there great and work well. I can go 25 mph with a range of about 20 miles
