I worked very hard to find an investment that was a "pure play" in wind power, which turned out to be a very difficult thing to do since US Tax laws makes it financially beneficial for wind turbines to be owned by power companies.  The result is that wind power developed by independent companies is typically sold almost immediately to power companies such as PSE.  The one "pure play" I could find was the following:

Disclaimer:  A relatively small chunk of my investments is in this company, a position which I bought as a "social investment" expecting not to make any money on it but its actually done pretty well.  Please do not consider anything I have said here as a recommendation that you either should or should not own stock in this company.  And I am deadly serious when I say that!

This is an interesting site / company. Thanks for passing it along. I do have to wonder how much it costs to put some of the turbines in the water though (from the intro movie)...anyhow, wind power is a good thing, if handled correctly.

Last year this was one of the few stocks I actually made money on, but it's hard to say what any share price will do these days.  I thought Evergreen solar here in WA would eventually go up and it did for about a couple days last year but then it came back down and as usual is hanging around 9 or under.  Greenies like wind, solar and water stocks are the future but that doesn't mean the share price will always do well

it is nice information above i read i want to tell u that in India their are thousand of wind turbine company's.Finally a progressive global trend has caught on that will impact the environment in a positive way.  That trend is the rising concern for our environment and the eagerness to “go green”.  People are now adjusting their lifestyles to leave a softer footprint on Planet Earth, keeping in mind that our children’s children will inherit what we leave behind.

From Hollywood celebrities to politicians like Al Gore, thousands are “going green” daily by switching to wind and solar powered energy, leaving conventional electricity and its detrimental impact on the environment behind.
