This rare piece of EV history is a result of the petroleum crisis of the late 1970's when Jet Industries of Austin, TX, identified several “gliders” (petroleum cars minus the engine and fuel system) and purchased them from the OEM, then configured and sold them as all-electric drive vehicles. This particular one is currently in service, but looking for an EV “steward” with the resources and expertise to bring it up to mint condition. As is, its' value is estimated at $5,800.00.
