Newly finished conversion of a 1996 Geo Metro. It gets 105 amp hours to a charge so the range is anywhere from 40-90 miles. Really. This impressive range is due to the extra twelve 12V 14 amp hour AGM sealed  batteries we installed that are in parallel with the standard twelve 12V Interstate wet batteries. All the batteries are brand new. It has an 8" Advanced DC motor, Manzanito Micro charger and Syncromotive controller. It was originally converted 3 years ago but 3 months ago we put in all new batteries, a new controller, new shocks, painted it inside and out, and installed electric door locks. It's a stick shift and has a cd player, battery heaters and temp guages, 5 seats and trunk space. The car itself has 104,400 miles on it but when it was originally converted in 2006 it had a new clutch installed. It comes with 110 and 220 power cords, a tow bar, and a new spare tire. If you don't like the loud "100% Electric" signs on the sides they can be removed Smiley All the work (the original conversion and the recent conversion) was done by Dave Cloud, the local Seattle conversion guru. He's done quite a few of these Geo Metros. The only reason I'm selling is because my work won't let me plug in (damn Microsoft!) and I work too far away to be able to run errands at night. Please call with any questions.
Thanks,

Well, I know I'll bring up that fact at the "End of Oil" conference on the MS campus. I think Rob Bernard, Chief Environmental Strategist, Microsoft is speaking, so I'll try and bring it up to him.

I know there's one employee that drives a purple Sparrow that charges on campus. I think it's in the building 36 parking garage. But then, maybe he does it on the sly, I doubt it though since he has a "Electric Vehicle only" parking sign there. I had to smile when I parked my truck there. Bet he thought he would have his own reserved parking space.
