Nissan unveils hybrid vehicle, promises all-electric car by 2010

Nissan plans to introduce lithium-ion battery-powered vehicles within the next two years. One of these cars will be an all-electric model, while the other one will be introduced as a high-performance rear-wheel drive car.

Well the more that say they will make them, more I believe that a major mfg will actually have an all electric vehicle for sale in the next couple of years. If a the first few were bluffing or doing it for PR reasons...then they must be concerned that someone else will really be the first to market - so I think this is another step in the right direction. The more that join the race, the more competitive it will become, the better for the consumers...us!
