		+	Doug Korthof, a prominent EV advocate in California, has passed away.
		+	NHTSA has closed their investigation on Volt fires and concluded the
		+	risk is insignificant. Tesla has unveiled their model "X", a cross-over
		+	EV with dual motors (one on each axle) and gull-wing doors.
		+
		+	South Seattle community college has four upcoming classes. Go to

		+	Chad Schwitters talked about Plug-In America and their legislative
		+	history, as well as how it has been taken over by SEVA members Chad, Tom
		+	Saxton, and Dan Davids.

		+	Jeff Finn has presented an update on SEVA's legislative agenda for this

		+	HB2704 is a new bill for "creating a road user future funding task
		+	force". (aka VMT tax Feasibility Assessment and Recommendations by Oct
		+	1, 2014). The House Transportation Committee voted "Do pass". You may
		+	want to contact your 2 state representatives /once it is on the House
		+	calendar/, which you will know because Jeff will e-mail the SEVA list.
		+
		+	2ESSB 5251 has passed senate, probable committee hearing week of Feb
		+	20th. Please contact your 2 state representatives. (More details in Jeff
		+	Finn's e-mail)
		+	However, Jeff's prediction is it will pass unchanged.
		+
		+	HB2370 is to add health as a transportation policy goal. Jeff's
		+	recommendation is to wait and see how it goes. It's waiting on the Senate.
		+
		+	HB2106 (HOV access for EVs) is dead. Originally promoted by then-Rep
		+	now-Sen Frockt.
		+
		+	SB6380 $250 ticket for parking a non-EV in an EVSE charging spot. Dead
		+	due to no hearing. Maybe in 2013?

		+	Jeff has adapted a brochure used in southern California to stick on
		+	people's cars if they park their gas car in a EVSE spot. Please comment on it:

		+	HB1758 (explicitly allow plug-in hybrids to get a sales tax exemption
		+	for HB 1281), no hearing scheduled because they have yet to reject
		+	anyone's exemption.

		+	Does anyone want to try to make an EV license plate?

		+	Gene Seymour brought in an electric converted dirt bike. Was a 1996
		+	XR-250. The battery pack is quick-swap, 72V 30Ah of Headway cells. Has a
		+	prototype hub motor with dual windings (high/low speeds) and lots of
		+	power. Eventually going to be 120V. Uses relays to switch between high
		+	and low readings. The hub motor weighs 50 pounds alone, total weight
		+	around 275 lbs. They are working on creating a smaller charger over
		+	their in Kingston as well.

		+	Larry Gales gave a presentation on how electric vehicles can help move
		+	to a more sustainable way of life. He asked for input on some figures.
		+
		+	Tom Saxton prefaces by mentioning the DC Quick-Charge stations being
		+	installed. The state has decided they have spent all this money, but
		+	they don't have enough money to pay for electricity and they can't
		+	charge for things at rest stops, so they are looking for sponsors.
		+	Estimated cost is $5000 for two units (cost is either both or each, not
		+	sure). Ideas are donations, business sponsor, or more. The period is for
		+	three years. 18 people have offered to volunteer $50 each; need 82
		+	more... leaf owners?
