		+	Our meeting started when Jeff Finn introduced Tonia Buell with WSDOT's West Coast Electric Highway program, which is installing or coordinating charge stations along the I-5 corridor from California through BC. They are starting heavily here with funding to build 9 fast charge stations about 40-60 miles apart along both I-5 from Bellingham through Longview and out US-2 to Leavenworth. The stations have CHAdeMO DC fast charge and J1772 level 2 EVSE.

		+	Richard Feldman with Ecotality and the EV Project presented an update of their installations. The goal is ~1000 private users (Nissan Leaf owners), ~1000 public level 2 EVSE, and 25 fast chargers. Over 500 home EVSE are installed and they are on track for all 1000 to be in. They are looking for more commercial sponsors who wish to place charging stations and get some of it paid by the EV Project. Contact Dan O'Shea doshea@ecotality.com Ecotality requires a monthly payment once the federal government grants run out and drivers need their RFID to make payment for using the Blink EVSE stations.

		+	Deb Seymour filmed a parade of EV cars for her music video "Little Zoe ZENN Car". First time I've ever been called a model.

		+	We had a discussion about giving people rides and how it changes people's minds regarding EVs.

		+	National Plugin Day is Sunday Oct 16 2011 for a "show of force" and Chad wants you to keep that day open! The celebration is probably going to be at the University of Washington.

		+	Stephen Johnsen announced upcoming classes at South Seattle, see http://learnatsouth.org

		+	Tom True (of EV parts and, in this role, Electric Transitions Development) announced some new classes that are going to be held and is now making available a DVD of the class they had a little over a month ago starring John Wayland and James Billmaier (Jolt) for only $5. 		+	Stephen also updated us on his giant battery range trailer, which has taken some multi-hundred-mile trips.

		+	Jeff Finn is conspiring for the next legislative session to try and get a Vehicle Mileage Tax implemented in this state, however unlikely, but he could create a voluntary VMT for electric vehicles. This brought up an animated circular conversation about what a fair rate is and how a tax can be voluntary. Go Jeff!
